Mee & Greet Burger

Let's talk burgers. Last night I took the clan out on our monthly Burger Meister Excursion. Where did we go? You guessed it: Mee & Greet. The new Southeast Asian Restaurant on the Westside. If you think Burger! You would not immediately associate it with Asian flavors. But then again we are living in the future, in the land of endless possibility in one of the greatest towns on Earth... Los Angeles (Minus the traffic)! And anything is possible in LA. Let's talk about the Angus Patty, dressed with caramelized onion, roasted garlic relish, cheddar cheese, housemaid sambal aioli, and acar pickle.

Fun fact:

Acar is a type of vegetable pickle made in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. It is a localized version of the Mughlai Achaar.

Now let's be clear! Someone actually thought about constructing this burger. So often these days the burger is the go-to or must-have required food on a restaurant menu. And it does not get the attention it deserves. But Mee & Greet, have definitely paid attention. There is a level of flavor that ranges through the entire Burger. A sweetness of sting with a grounding satisfaction. God do I love experimentation. Only this way we can find innovation and something as simple and as old and traditional as the hamburger. Also, I feel truly sorry for any fool who will not try this burger. So give it a shot! Get your ass to the westside and be satisfied. Overall rating 6.8.
